What's The Most Liveable City in Australia? Our Photographable Wonderland
2020 has completely disrupted the status quo of our mode de vie, throwing at us business closures, redundancies, social distancing and vertical consumption. This is against the backdrop of striving towards a resemblance of work/life balance within a doomscrolling society which is constantly connected. Step in us - Adelaide. A new IPSOS survey has found Adelaide ranked as the most liveable metropolitan area in Australia, coupled with the Adelaide Hills region.
The criteria were judged against, and in order of importance; feeling safe, affordable decent housing, high-quality health services, access to the natural environment and good job prospects.
We were subjectively fortuitous here in SA to have somewhat staved off the advances of the pandemic, and have thus been able to return to a normality of sorts, ahead of large proportions of Australia and the world. It still meant a lot of hardship and testing times - and for some - that still continues.
But, here we are.
