How Our Agency Took on One of Australia's Biggest Sporting Events - LIV Golf Adelaide 2025

Capturing the Energy of LIV Golf Adelaide

The energy? Electric. From the moment Patrick Reed’s hole-in-one sent the crowd into a frenzy at the famous watering hole on the 6th tee, the atmosphere was undeniable. That moment set the tone for three straight days of action, and we were there for all of it—capturing every roar, every celebration, and every unforgettable moment.

Kicking off with Adelaide’s exclusive welcome party, we were surrounded by VIPs and influencers, setting the stage for what would become one of the biggest projects our agency has ever taken on. And with South Australia locking in LIV Golf until 2031, we knew we were witnessing history in the making.

A Major Moment for Our Business

LIV Golf Adelaide isn’t just a major sporting event—it’s South Australia’s global showcase. With over 500 million viewers across 80 territories, the event has transformed the state’s tourism, generating $136 million in its first two years alone.

For our business, it was our biggest production to date, on the Welcome Party alone we had:

  • 4 photographers (including 2 dedicated to media walls)

  • 2 videographers capturing the action

  • 1 real-time photo editor ensuring instant delivery

The scale of this event proved that we’re ready to deliver at a world-class level, managing multiple teams across multiple activations—a milestone for us as a growing agency. Every other day, from the day prior to the golf action kicking off - all the way through - we had at least 3 people on the ground any one day - capturing photo and video for four of our clients.

Highlights from the Course

Having exclusive access to the course meant front-row seats to one of the world’s best golf experiences. LIV Golf Adelaide has set the benchmark for a festival-like atmosphere, blending elite golf with live concerts, brand activations, and unforgettable fan experiences.

Some of our standout moments included:

  • BYD’s Sealion 7 release – capturing the highly anticipated launch.

  • Official photographers and videographers for the LIV Golf welcome party.

  • Handing the reins over to our team and seeing them thrive. Lewy was in Melbourne on a shoot with Hype DC and The Forward, while Frankie was on mum-duty/management.

  • Bringing our 18-month-old son along for his first taste of LIV action.

  • Being on stage with Fisher – because why not?

  • Oh, and the 6th tee off from the Watering Hole being a hole-in-one… What the!

With the redevelopment of North Adelaide Golf Course now scheduled to go underway—designed by golf legend Greg Norman—LIV Golf Adelaide is only going to get bigger. Soon, every South Australian will be able to play on the same course as the world’s best.

What We Captured

Our cameras were everywhere, documenting:

  • Crowds and fan engagement with SATC.

  • BYD car activations and key brand moments.

  • Full production for Red Door Live.

  • The massive event structures built by Harry The Hirer.

With over 79,000 visitor nights booked and nearly 40% of ticket holders traveling from outside SA, this event is a powerhouse for the state’s economy.

The Challenges We Overcame

Big events come with big challenges. The sun was relentless - despite the overcast days at times, and juggling multiple clients across different activations tested our endurance. If that wasn’t enough, we had just wrapped up three full days in Melbourne, landed in Adelaide at 6 AM on Day 1 of golf, and jumped straight into action.

But when you’re working an event of this scale, adrenaline takes over.

What This Means for Our Business

LIV Golf Adelaide isn’t just an event—it’s the world’s best golf event (as voted at the World Golf Awards two years in a row).

For us, covering an event of this scale solidifies our place in the industry. We’ve proven that we can scale up, execute high-pressure productions, and deliver results that match the best in the business.

With LIV Golf locked in until 2031, and Adelaide now the exclusive home of LIV Golf in Australia, the opportunities for creative storytelling are only going to grow.

How we actually managed seven days across four clients at one event

This is the question we get asked most after people see the scope of what we delivered at LIV Golf 2025. Here's what multi-client event production at this scale actually looks like — and what any brand or event manager should understand before briefing a team for something similar.

Crew size is determined by deliverable, not by event size. We didn't arrive with seven people because LIV Golf is large — we arrived with seven people because four clients had four distinct deliverables running simultaneously. Before any major event, we map every client's brief against the run sheet and calculate coverage gaps. Where two clients need simultaneous coverage in different locations, that's where additional crew is non-negotiable.

Real-time delivery changes everything about how you shoot. Having a dedicated on-site photo editor isn't a luxury at an event like this — it's a workflow decision. Brands posting to social while the event is live need content within minutes, not hours. That means the editing pipeline runs parallel to the shoot, which requires a separate operator whose only job is selects and export. Trying to shoot and edit simultaneously at pace produces neither well.

Logistics across multiple activations requires a single source of truth. At LIV 2025 we ran Google Calendar and WhatsApp as our central coordination tools — every crew member knew exactly where to be, when, and for which client. When Lewy was in Melbourne and Frankie was managing remotely, those systems meant nothing fell through. Simple tools used consistently beat complex systems used inconsistently every time.

The 6am arrival and straight-into-it reality is normal at this level. We landed from three days in Melbourne at 6am on Day 1 of golf and walked straight onto the course. That's not unusual for event teams operating nationally — it's the reality of following your clients wherever the work is. The adrenaline helps. So does preparation.

If you're planning a major sporting event, multi-brand activation, or large-scale production and need a team that can scale, coordinate, and deliver under pressure — these are the conversations worth having before your event date locks in.
